The deadline for submissions for the Home of 2030 design competition passed on Tuesday of last week.
We received a fantastic response to the first phase of the competition, with many interesting entries submitted. We would like to thank everyone who submitted an entry, demonstrating the enthusiasm and commitment to new ways of thinking about age friendly, low carbon and innovative homes. The large response is to be particularly commended when you consider the challenging circumstances for the design, housing and construction sectors over recent months.
The evaluation panel will now begin their work reviewing these entries and we expect to make an announcement towards the end of July of the shortlist of six entries who will be invited to submit proposals for Phase 2 of the competition.
Phase 2 is a detailed, site-specific design phase and the ultimate winners from Phase 2 will then be introduced to Homes England development partners to explore the possibility of developing bids for a series of homes on Homes England land.
